Finally, DON’T ask us to modify your writing samples. We can provide you advice that is general what you should take into account when composing your personal statement but it is perhaps not right for us to edit them.
Introducing Kenley staff blogger that is new
It was simply over couple of years ago it has been that I started as an Assistant Director of Admission at USC. Wow, what a journey! I work with students from a variety of areas: Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Kansas City, and parts of Orange County and San Diego (phew!). We have bright red hair, and the fiery personality to match, so I am always complete of energy or more for any adventure. We love to travel, explore the out-of-doors, bake anything with chocolate (lots from it!), and you can always find me dancing if there is a tune that is upbeat. I will be delighted to be joining the blogging team and can’t wait to share some of my insights and knowledge about the admission procedure and college life.
I grew up in Utah and lived into the many mountains that are beautiful the globe. I spent quite a bit of time checking out them, but got tired of the winters that are lengthy which is why I happened to be eager to attend college in sunny Southern Ca. We attended Claremont McKenna university where I studied International Relations and Psychology.
I enjoyed my university experience. Currently, this blog is being written by me sitting inside a Peet’s Coffee in Northern California. Dining Table for one, headphones in ears, answering emails and signing down notes about my senior school visits from earlier today. For the week that is next a half, i am residing in hotel rooms and having meals without any help. Usually, there is time and energy to explore the populous cities I visit making sure that’s nice. But most regarding the right time, the road can be tiring so I invest most of my time resting whenever possible. It is very an easy task to get ill in the road!
For around 8 weeks of the 12 months, tens of thousands of admission representatives all over the nation live this life style. From the perspective that is outside it seems very glamorous. In many ways, it is really a really fun job. It is truly rewarding to find a way to help students in one of the very phases that are transitional their life. It’s additionally nice having the ability to be away from the workplace. However, this element of the job can be isolating since well. It makes me appreciate my friends, family and wife back at home even more.
Still, our mission is what is in the forefront. USC visits over 2,000 schools per year; we visit the most high schools out of any college in the nation. Our company is out here in search of students that will make-up the following class that is incoming of at USC. It is our goal to place together an exceptionally diverse class every year so we desire to meet all types of students. I am honored doing my part that is small in process. It brings me personally a sense of fulfillment working for the university that aligns with my own vision for education.
